Why the spare pads matter

The pad is the part that does the work and the part that fails first. Once it's compressed flat it stops curving the lash and starts creasing it — that's the kink you sometimes get halfway up. Most curlers ship with one pad and no way to replace it. This comes with fifteen, so you can swap at the first sign of a flat spot and keep getting a clean curve for years.

How to use it

1. Use it on clean, dry lashes — before mascara, never after. Curling over dry mascara snaps lashes.
2. Open, rest the lashes in the gap, and close gently at the base. Hold for five seconds.
3. Move a third of the way up and hold again. Once more near the tips. Three light holds beat one hard clamp.
4. Mascara last.

Safety

Not a toy. Keep away from children. Use gently — squeezing hard or pulling while closed can tear out lashes. Never use on wet lashes or over mascara. Stop immediately if you feel pinching, and check the pad is seated correctly before every use; a missing or damaged pad puts metal against your lashline. Replace the curler if the frame bends or the hinge loosens. Not for use on eyelash extensions unless the extension supplier says otherwise.
